In the morning of May 6th, Works exhibition of Graduate of 2010 from School of Arts opens in RUC. RUC Vice President Yang Huilin, Assistant to President and Executive Deputy Dean of Graduate School Wu Xiaoqiu, Party Committee Chief of Propaganda Department Zheng Shuiquan, Chief of Academic Administration Department Hong Dayong, Associate Chief of Scientific Research Department Mu Feng, Associate Chief of Development Planning Department Li Hongyu, Associate Chief of Logistics Service and University Assets Administrative Department Zhang Mao and other leaders of related departments and the representative of Xi’an Qujiang Culture-Oriented Travel Group, cooperated with School of Arts, Zhuang Ying attended the opening ceremony. Dean of School of Artsr Xu Qingping, Party Secretary and Deputy Dean Zhen Xiaohua, Executive Deputy Dean Xu Weixin, Deputy dean Wang Yingjian, Deputy secretary Bie Min and Adviser Qiu Chengde, Pan Wuhua and more than 150 teachers and students took part in the ceremony.
In the afternoon, Dean of School of Arts (honorary) and vice Chairman of Chinese Painters and Calligraphers Association Wu Changjiang came to watch the exhibition and gave affirmation and encouragement to the students’ works.
During the ceremony, Vice President Yang Huilin Delivered speech and emphasized the important role of School of Arts in university. Deputy Dean Xu Weixin introduced the situation of exhibition to the guests and pointed out that School of Arts should push forward the teaching reform and get more achievements. Then the representative of teachers in School of Arts Liu Mingcai presented his speech and encouraged the students to persist in the road of art. Representative of students Dong Yayuan expressed the students’ appreciation to School and the University.
This activity included 5 exhibitions and performance activities: From May 6th to 12th, works exhibition of painting department graduate of 2010; from May 14th to 20th, works exhibition of art and design department graduate of 2010; in May 17th, 18th and 20th, the graduate from Music Performance Department will perform 3 concerts to display what they have learned.
