A lecturer of Department of Painting of School of Arts of RUC (Renmin University of China); member of Chinese Artists Association.
It was in 1994 that he graduated from the Fine Arts Preparatory School of the Central Academy.
It was in 1998 that he graduated from the Printmaking Department of Central Academy of Fine Arts with a bachelor degree and joined the faculty.
It was in 2001 that he graduated from the Printmaking Department of Central Academy of Fine Arts with a master degree.
It was in January 1998 that his copper-plate work The Setting Sun (II) was awarded as“The Dean Award”, the highest award of achievement exhibition for all students at school of Central Academy of Fine Arts.
It was in July 1998 that he took part in the teacher show of the Printmaking Department of Central Academy of Fine Arts, whose copper-plate works, An Epic in The Spring - Shadow of A Tree, The Memory of The Hero Che Guevara, were published in the fourth Journal of Fine Arts in 1999.
It was in 1999 that his copper-plate work was included in the Album of Chinese Contemporary Artists on compact disk.
It was in March 1999 that his copper-plate work, An Epic in Spring - Window, was included in the Invitational Exhibition of Osaka International Printmaking.
It was in June 1999 that his copper-plate work, Campus Folk - Winter Sunshine, was included in the 9th National Fine Arts Exhibition.
It was in October 2000 that his copper-plate work, Poetry Collection - Like a Rolling Stone, was awarded as the annual meeting prize of“The Fifth Printmaking Teaching and Creation Seminar for National Institutions of Higher Art”.
It was in February 2001 that his copper-plate work, The Poetry Collection, was collected by Guangdong Museum of Art.
It was in April 2001 that his copper-plate work, Walking Through, attended in the China-South Korea Printmaking Communication Exhibition.
It was in July 2001 that his copper-plate works, Bumpy Road and other three works, were collected by CAFA Art Museum permanently.
It was in August 2001 that his copper-plate work, The Singer, attended in the China-Egypt Culture Communication Exhibition.
It was in October 2001 that he took part in the teacher show of the Printmaking Department of Central Academy of Fine Arts again, whose copperplate etching work The Singer was published in the first phase of Blest Garden in 2002 and the first phase of Art Research in 2002; whose copperplate etching work The Flow Mark of Days was loaded at Chinese Contemporary Art (printmaking part from 1979 to 1999, in page 177).
It was in March 2003 that he was transferred into School of Arts of RUC (Renmin University of China).
It was in 2003 that his comprehensive painting works The Train in a Night Sleep was awarded as the Excellence Award at the National Fine Arts Exhibition of the second Fine Art Goldencolor Prize of China.
It was in 2004 that his watercolor paintings The Good Earth was attended in the 10th National Fine Arts Exhibition and was selected.
It was in 2005 that his watercolor paintings Tajiks in The Mountain (II) was selected the 7th National Watercolor, Powder Painting Exhibition.
It was in May 2007 that his watercolor paintings Tajiks in The Mountain (I) and (II) were selected in“The First Annual Prize of China Fine Arts Teacher Art Works” jointly held by “annual prize of China fine arts teachers’artistic works” and “Art Panorama” Editorial Department.
It was in November 2007 that his oil painting The Girl with Mobile Phone– The Picture of Bai Dongmei was selected into 2007 “Spirit of The Time”The National Character & Portrait Oil Painting Exhibition.
It was in November 2007 that his oil painting Ji-rang ji series of works attended in the Faculty Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition of the Seventieth Anniversary of the RUC (Renmin University of China).
It was in October 2009 that his oil painting A Girl with Mobile Phone–The Portrait of Bai Dongmei and The Portrait of Meng Xiangwei were published at the Teacher Collection of Painting of School of Arts of RUC (Renmin University of China) 1999-2009 (China Renmin University Press).
It was in 2010 that his oil painting The Old Worker Chen Yuefa was published at the Journal of Fine Arts in September 2010.
It was in 2010 that his copperplate etching works Autumn Rain (the 3rd) was selected into“Guancheng 2010 Shanghai Exhibition in International Version”.
It was in 2011 that his watercolor The Portrait of Shi En (the 4th) was published at the Art Watching The Tide - Chinese Watercolor Masters IV, Tianjin People's Fine Arts Publishing House.
It was in 2012 that his oil painting The Picture of Mr. Wang attended in the teachers works of School of Arts of RUC (Renmin University of China) attending the American Colleges and Universities Itinerant Exhibition.
It was in September 2013 that his oil painting A Cat with Zhang Wenqian attended in The Opposite Dialogue - Teachers and Graduates Exhibition of Renmin University of China and Arizona State University (798 bridge art space).
It was in September 2014 that his oil painting A Boy Holding a Cat was selected into The New Comer and New Work Show of the 13th Beijing Artists Association.
It was during September and October 2014 that he held his“Land Travel Notes”- Wu Xutao Individual Exhibition at the dining hall of the teacher center at the third floor of North District of Renmin University of China based on his 25 works.
It was in November 2014 that his oil painting The Afternoon in July - Two White Stones, The Dawn, and other 10 works attended in the "A Vision Over Ten Years" - Chinese Cutting-edge Art Exhibition.
It was in January 2015 that his paper Land Travel Notes was published at the first phase of Art Observation in 2015.
It was in June 2015 that his works Evening at The Adams attended in the“Adams Theater 2015 Farewell Art Exhibit”（Randall L. Jones Theater, Cedar City, UT, USA）and was collected.
It was in December 2015 that My Way of White Cloud - Wu Xutao Individual Exhibition was held in the big hall of School of Arts of RUC (Renmin University of China).
